Within These Walls

He’s telling me I’m beautiful
But I don’t take his word
Instead I seek to prove that I have worth
He’s showing me the deepest love
Giving me what I dream of
Why do I just turn and walk away-away

My heart-drives me from the deepest love
Hard as stone it breaks against these walls
My heart-drives me out into this world
Leaving me with broken pieces That no man can clean up

I search and search but still don’t find
Someone to take his place
The strongest love of this world
Will never match his grace
And though I run, he sheds his blood
Still giving me what I dream of
Is it really so hard just to stay-I’ll stay

My heart-drives me from the deepest love
Hard as stone it breaks against these walls
My heart-drives me out into this world
Leaving me with broken pieces
That no man can clean up
No man can pick up
My God picks me up

He sweeps away the broken pieces
Gives me a heart of flesh
He holds me in his arms of love
I can’t see why I left
He still says I’m beautiful
Washes me as white as snow
His love is what I choose today, always-always

My heart-is cleansed from all its wickedness
Soft and whole it beats against these walls
My heart-is cleansed from all this worldliness
Leading me with godly love
That no man can shake
No, no man can break

This is a poem that I wrote a while ago… I’m pretty sure I didn’t post it here, but even if I did, I think it’s good enough to read twice. Forever His Clay, this was the poem I talked about in my comment. I hope you enjoy.

    Hello Anon,
That’s a beautiful poem. The book I was telling you about is awesome, BECAUSE, it is all about focusing on the Lord, and allowing HIM to bring someone into your life, and how our place it to only serve, seek, and worship Him, not worrying about who we will marry someday, because it is more beautiful to let our Creator write our love stories, that’s all.
It is a blessing to see you realizing the need to be seeking the Lord, and letting go of your own desires….it took me a long time to figure that out. Have you heard the song “Surrender” by Barlowgirl? It is amazing, so poignantly true, and cuts right to the heart.
Anything we surrender is a constant surrender…and let me tell you something someone told me once. God wants to give you a diamond…not a diamond in the rough, hard, rough edges, and such, but a beautiful polished diamond. Sure, he will be flawed, but God is polishing, and cutting, chiseling and forming that man for you at this very moment. Whoever He may have taken out of your life, if He never brings him back into it, is nothing in comparison to God’s best for you. As hard as it is to believe, you’ll believe it when you see it. Just keep trusting God for His best in His timing, and have fun delighting and growing in your love relationship with Him =).

Love you, Sister, and I am praying for you.

    Your Sister In Christ,
    Forever His Clay

I haven’t heard the song Surrender by Barlow Girl (that I know of) but I have heard the song Surrender by Downhere– a wonderfully amazing message from a wonderfully amazing band. I hope I get a sparkley diamond, but God already gave me his son… they don’t get much brighter than that ^_^

    Thank you for your prayers!
