Prior Commitment

Sometimes I make plans to see my friend’s band play in concert. Unfortunately, I don’t have a car, so I can’t drive down the day of the concert (This Saturday). Brandon knows this, so he offered to give me a ride down to Vermontville on Friday. Now being the Christians that we are, and wanting to avoid the appearance of evil, I was not going to be able to stay at his house. So, on top of working ridiculous hours, band practice and barely getting any sleep, Brandon arranged for me to spend the night at the house of his friend, Amber. Isn’t he wonderful? ^_^ So that is my prior commitment.

Last night I learned of a fantabulous party that will be going on tomorrow at my friend’s house, and the attractive young man that I am interested in will definitely be there. Tomorrow is Friday. Friday is the day Brandon gives me a ride to Vermontville. Vermontville is not where my friend’s house is. I will not be at the fantabulous party hosted by my friend. Man, I wish I had a car!

So, anyway, I’m gonna stick with my prior commitment and I’m going to have a blast in the V-ville even if I’m not surrounded by handsome young men who are on fire for the Lord. Oh wait… it’s a Christian concert! I’ll still be surrounded by handsome young men on fire for the Lord!!! lol w00t!
