The Sunlight
Oh my love, oh my love, how my heart longs
for you since the day has gone
Oh my love, oh my love, how my tears flood
for you since the night has come
The sunlight sleeps, and the night air creeps
And the frost chills to the bone
The stars don’t shine and the broken hearts pine
For the love they used to know
Oh my love, oh my love, where did I go wrong?
How did I lose your love?
Oh my love, oh my love, where did my prince go?
Wasn’t my heart enough?
The sunlight sleeps, and the night air creeps
And the frost chills to the bone
The stars don’t shine and the broken hearts pine
For the love they used to know
Will you come back here
Past the cold dispair
Where you know I’d be willing to die for you
Will you leave regret
In the past that’s set
Because you have to know, I’m willing to live for you
Can the sunlight wake and the night air break
When you hear my voice
Can the love flood in and the poor ones win
When you make your choice

I wrote this a while ago, when I still had hope that the one I considered “my love” would return to me. That time is past and I’ll have to move on, but I still like the rhythm of this, so I’m gonna post it anyway.

I also think I’ll try to get this on audio, but that might take awhile (technology doesn’t always like me).

And now that I’ve posted something less than hilarious, here is I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred:
